Lanta Animal Welfare (LAW) is a non-profit organization based on the island of Koh Lanta. Its objective is to relieve the suffering and pain of the island’s animals through sterilization and care. Since its foundation in 2005, LAW has sterilized, vaccinated and treated over 6,000 animals, with an estimated 80% of the island’s dogs now sterilized. This has led to a dramatic reduction in the number of reproducing strays roaming the island and rabies has been all but eliminated. Our aim is prevention and control of the overpopulation of dogs and cats on Koh Lanta in a humane way through sterilization programs, thus reducing the sufferings of hunger, disease, abuse & injury. We provide animal care for injured and abused animals and promote awareness & education of animal care & respect, regardless of religion. Your support through contribution & volunteerism is greatly appreciated.
